Starfish Story (english):
Truth is, hundreds of millions of children around the world are just like starfish, needing the attention of individuals willing to take the time to make a difference.
Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.
One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.
As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.
He came closer still and called out, “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”
The young man paused, looked up, and replied, “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”
“I must ask then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?” asked the somewhat startled wise man.
To this, the young man replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”
Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, “But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”
At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said, “I made a difference to that one.”

海星的故事
實話就是─世界上幾百萬的孩子們就像海星，需要我們關心他們讓他們的人生有一個轉捩點。
很久很久以前，有一個聰明的人習慣去海邊寫作，他習慣在寫作之前, 先會去海邊走走.
有一天，當他孤獨地在海邊走路時，在海灘上看到一位像舞者一樣的人。 他微笑地想著這個人會高興到跳舞, 他加快腳步地追上去。
當他靠近舞者時，才發現到那是一個年輕人， 而且他並不是在跳舞。 那年輕人到了海邊，撿起一些東西丟向大海。
當他更靠近時，對著年輕人說：「早安！請問你在做什麼呢？」
年輕人停止動作，然後抬頭回答：「我正在把海星丟進海洋。」
「我必須問，你為什麼要把海星丟進海洋呢? 」那聰明的人驚訝地問。
關於這個，這年輕人說：「太陽正在升起，海水也漸漸地退了，如果我不這麼做，他們就會死掉。」
聽到他的話之後， 那聰明的人表達了他的意見：「但是，年輕人，難道你不知道這幾英哩的海灘上到處都是海星嗎？ 你不可能改變什麼!」
這時，那年輕人又開始彎下腰，撿起一隻海星，把它丟到海裡。當海星落入水中時，他說：「至少我改變了這一隻的命運！」
